Donald Trump’s health check shows weight gain and new medical advice
President Donald Trump, shortly before turning 80, underwent a medical examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The White House physician, Sean Barbabella, reported that Trump is in good overall health and scored 30 out of 30 on a cognitive test, but noted that his weight has risen to 238 pounds (about 108 kg), roughly 6.4 kg more than a year earlier. The doctor recommended dietary changes, increased physical activity, low‑dose aspirin and continued cholesterol medication, as well as a weight‑loss plan.
Trump posted on Truth Social that “Alt tjekked ud PERFEKT,” but the report also addressed visible bruises on his hand—likely from aspirin use and frequent handshakes—and chronic venous insufficiency causing mild leg swelling. Overall, the exam described the president as medically fit to fulfill his duties, while highlighting lifestyle adjustments.
The findings come as Trump approaches his 80th birthday, drawing public and political attention to his health status.
