Donald Trump’s Investment Accounts Tied to Major Banks and $858 M Trades

Financial disclosure filings for former President Donald Trump show that at least four of his eight personal investment accounts are held by major financial institutions, including JPMorgan Chase, Charles Schwab, UBS and Stephens Inc. The same disclosures reveal that professional advisers executed more than 21,000 securities trades across those accounts during Trump’s first year back in the White House, with a combined value of at least $858 million (analysts estimate a range of $600 million to $1.86 billion).

The holdings span roughly 1,600 companies, notably defense and technology firms such as Palantir, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Raytheon, Intel and Nvidia, many of which have government contracts or align with administration priorities. The volume of trading vastly exceeds the 86 transactions reported in Trump’s 2017 filing and dwarfs the 13 trades made by President Joe Biden over his entire term. The disclosures are required by federal ethics rules to increase transparency and identify potential conflicts of interest.
