Donald Tusk addresses rising tensions and potential government changes

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk is addressing rising anti-Ukrainian sentiment within Poland, which government ministers describe as a “very dangerous situation” for national security and bilateral relations. Tusk has reportedly instructed the Ministry of the Interior and special services to strictly monitor and intervene in instances of nationality-based aggression.

Internal concerns have also been raised regarding the stance of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Polish officials have noted a perceived radicalization in Kyiv, with reports suggesting Tusk previously informed Zelenskyy that there are “some boundaries,” specifically referring to the spread of disinformation in Ukrainian media targeting Poland.

In a separate political development, Tusk has convened a meeting of the “Coalition 15 October” leaders, including Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Włodzimierz Czarzasty. The meeting is expected to address potential changes within the government and the ruling coalition.
