Donald Tusk sends special delegation to Hungary after fatal bus accident

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has announced the dispatch of a special delegation to Hungary to assist following a fatal bus accident on the M3 motorway. The delegation will include representatives from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and health services to provide medical and consular support to those affected.

The accident, which preliminary findings suggest may have been caused by driver fatigue, resulted in the deaths of 12 people. Emergency responders treated one person in critical condition, nine with serious injuries, and 37 with minor injuries. The victims were identified as Polish pilgrims traveling home from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar expressed his condolences to the Polish people and noted that Tusk thanked the Hungarian medical and rescue teams for their assistance. Various Hungarian government officials, including the ministers of foreign affairs, interior, health, transport, and defense, also extended their sympathies.
