Donald Tusk warns of constant Russian attacks near Polish border

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has warned that Russian attacks on the Ukrainian border regions have taken on a “permanent character,” increasing the security risks for Poland. During a government meeting in Warsaw, Tusk noted that Polish fighter jets are being scrambled into the air every night in response to the escalating situation.

Recent incidents include Russian drone strikes on Ukrainian territory near the Dorohusk-Yahodyn border crossing. These strikes have caused damage to a building at the border station and have repeatedly targeted the area over the last two weeks. Additionally, a passenger train traveling from Kyiv to Warsaw was affected by an attack in the same vicinity. While Polish authorities have issued temporary alerts for residents in the Lublin Voivodeship, they have clarified that there is currently no direct threat to Polish territory.
