Donas celebrates festivities in honor of Dulce Nome de Xesús

The parish of Donas in Gondomar will celebrate its festivities in honor of the Dulce Nome de Xesús from August 29 to August 31. The event features a combination of religious ceremonies and musical performances.

On Saturday, August 29, the festivities begin with the Procesión do Encontro at 18:00, followed by fireworks and a musical evening featuring the orchestras Los Player’s and Capitol. Sunday, August 30, includes a solemn mass sung by the Coral Santa Eulalia de Donas, a procession with the Agrupación Musical de Belesar, and a performance by the orchestra París de Noia and Antonio Barros.

The celebrations conclude on Monday, August 31, with solemn masses honoring the Virgen de los Dolores and the Virgen de la Esperanza. Scheduled activities include traditional cucañas, processions accompanied by local music bands, and a final musical evening with the orchestra New York.
