Donau‑Ries football league allocations for 2026/27 season
The Kreis Donau‑Ries football association has released the league structure for the 2026/27 season. The new allocation lists the clubs that will compete in the Kreisliga Nord, the various Kreisklasse Nord divisions and the A‑Klasse Nord groups. Geographic proximity, sporting level and travel considerations were taken into account. Ten of the fourteen teams in the Kreisliga Nord come from the Donau‑Ries district, with clubs such as TSV Nördlingen, its U23 side, SV Wörnitzstein‑Berg and TSV Rain remaining above the Kreisliga. Promotions include TSV Oettingen and SC D.L.P., while FC Maihingen drops from the Bezirksliga.
In addition, the association confirmed that direct relegation from the Bezirksliga back to the Kreisliga will be reinstated. TSV Waldershof, after its recent drop, will start the next season in the Kreisliga. The announcement also notes that the Kreisklasse West 2 will feature fifteen teams, the A‑Klassen will continue as non‑flex leagues and reserve teams will operate as flex leagues.
