Japanese food companies launch new products and overseas expansion
Several Japanese food and confectionery companies are launching new products or expanding market reach.
JCC, an Okinawa-based food manufacturer, is working to develop overseas sales channels for its ‘Aunt Wanda’s Cheesecake’ brand. The company is promoting the product at local Okinawa fairs in Hawaii and Guam, aiming to supply Don Quijote and local supermarkets in the United States.
Cheese Garden, a brand under the Colowide Group, has announced the release of its seasonal ‘Goyotei Beni-imo Cheesecake’ starting September 9. The product features Okinawa-grown purple sweet potato and will be available at Cheese Garden locations nationwide and through their online shop. The seasonal lineup also includes a themed parfait.
Meanwhile, the beef bowl chain Yoshinoya has launched an ‘Asutoku’ coupon campaign. Customers who spend 300 yen or more between 17:00 and 23:00 can receive a 200-yen discount coupon for use on the following day.
