Donetsk hit by Ukrainian missile and drone strikes

Ukrainian forces launched a significant missile and drone strike on occupied Donetsk, targeting various military and civilian sites. Reports indicate approximately 13 impacts hit Russian military objectives, including a former research institute used as a headquarters and troop deployment site, as well as an underground parking complex used for concealing armored vehicles and missiles.

In the civilian sector, strikes near the Donetsk-City shopping center reportedly injured at least eight civilians, including two minors. Damage was reported to eight residential buildings, 11 pieces of civilian infrastructure, and several vehicles.

There is ongoing debate regarding the weaponry used. While some officials identified the munitions as British-French Storm Shadow/SCALP-EG missiles, military analysts noted that debris patterns—specifically double-wing attachments—might instead suggest the use of AGM-158 JASSM missiles or similar glide bombs.
