Dong-A Pharmaceutical launches new acne treatment ‘Acne Vita Gel’

Dong-A Pharmaceutical has launched ‘Acne Vita Gel’, a new acne treatment containing 4% nicotinamide. The gel-type product is designed to regulate excessive sebum secretion and manage inflammation.

Research indicates that 4% nicotinamide formulations can show acne treatment efficacy similar to 1% clindamycin preparations. Additionally, studies on 2% nicotinamide formulations showed an approximately 21.8% reduction in sebum secretion after four weeks of use. The new product also includes ingredients such as dexpanthenol, allantoin, tocopherol, and aloe vera gel.

The launch expands Dong-A Pharmaceutical’s ‘Acne’ brand lineup, which already includes products like ‘Acne On Deep Cleansing Foam’, ‘Acnenon Cream’, and ‘Aclean Gel’. The company aims to provide specialized solutions for various acne-related concerns, ranging from initial treatment to post-extraction infection management and scar care.
