Dong-A Pharmaceutical launches Orthomol Vitamin C Depo

Dong-A Pharmaceutical has announced the launch of ‘Orthomol Vitamin C Depo’, a sustained-release vitamin C product from the German premium multivitamin brand Orthomol. This marks the brand’s first single-nutrient product in the South Korean market, expanding its portfolio beyond multivitamins.

The product utilizes a sustained-release tablet design, with the name ‘Depo’ derived from the German word ‘Depot’, signifying storage or depot. Dissolution tests have confirmed that a single tablet provides sustained release over a period of five hours. Each daily dose of two tablets contains 450mg of vitamin C, meeting 450% of the daily recommended nutritional value.

Designed for consumer convenience, the product features small tablets under 1cm in size and comes in a one-touch case. The package contains 100 tablets, providing a 50-day supply. The product is available through various online channels, including KakaoTalk Gift, Dong-A Pharmaceutical’s official Naver store, and the Dmall online mall.
