Dong Anh housing project for public security forces begins construction

The Ministry of Public Security and the Hanoi People's Committee have officially broken ground on a major housing project in Dong Anh, Hanoi, designed for members of the People's Public Security forces. The project covers approximately 30.76 hectares with a total investment of nearly 7,000 billion VND. Developed by a consortium including Thai Nam Land Joint Stock Company, the site is intended to be a modern green ecological urban area.

Upon completion, the development will provide 2,816 units of 12-story social housing and 204 low-rise commercial housing units, accommodating roughly 9,010 residents. The infrastructure will include integrated green solutions such as underground technical trenches, an 8,000m² centralized parking area with electric vehicle charging stations, and a closed-loop wastewater treatment system.

This initiative aligns with broader national efforts to expand social housing in Vietnam. The government aims to complete nearly one million social housing units between 2025 and 2030. Currently, over 720,000 units are under development nationwide, representing approximately 72% of the 2030 target.
