Dong Hwa Elementary diabolo team conducts cultural exchange in Australia

The diabolo team from National Dong Hwa University Experimental Elementary School traveled to Brisbane, Australia, in mid-August to participate in a sports, education, and cultural exchange program. Funded by the Sports New Southbound Exchange Program, the team's visit marks their fifth time receiving this specific grant.

During the exchange, the students performed high-difficulty diabolo routines at Citipointe Christian College, incorporating everyday items like umbrellas and clothes hangers into their acts. They also served as instructors, teaching Australian students basic diabolo techniques in English.

The team's itinerary included a visit to the Brisbane Asian Language School, where students delivered English-language presentations on Taiwanese culture, technology, agriculture, and geography. Additionally, the students engaged with the public at South Bank Parklands, acting as cultural ambassadors by introducing Taiwanese traditions to local residents and international tourists.
