Dong Nai authorities prosecute man for triple murder

Authorities in Dong Nai have completed an investigation and transferred the case file to the People's Procuracy to prosecute Nguyen Duc Anh, 21, for murder and the illegal use of military weapons.

The investigation revealed that the suspect's actions were motivated by a breakup with his former partner, a 17-year-old girl. On September 2, after expressing his intent to kill his ex-girlfriend during a drinking session with friends, Anh prepared weapons and scouted her residence.

Unable to enter the target house directly, Anh climbed from a neighbor's roof to break into the home of N. V. Q. (40). During the intrusion, he attacked Mr. Q, who sustained 76% bodily injury, and subsequently killed Mr. Q's wife and two children (aged 11 and 1) at the scene.

Investigators noted that Anh had previously threatened his ex-girlfriend in a forest area on August 29 but had temporarily ceased his plans. Regarding the associates present during the drinking session, investigators determined there was no legal basis to prosecute them, as they had attempted to dissuade Anh from his violent intentions.
