Dong Nai to take over management of Cat Tien National Park

The Vietnamese government has officially transferred the management authority of Cat Tien National Park to the Dong Nai People's Committee. According to Decision No. 2058/QD-TTg signed by Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung, the park—previously under the management of the Department of Forestry and Forest Protection within the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment—will be transferred in its entirety.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment is tasked with handing over the organizational structure, personnel, forest resources, land, assets, finances, and relevant documentation. Dong Nai will manage the park in coordination with the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to ensure unified management of the entire area and boundaries, including portions currently within Lam Dong's administrative borders, until any official administrative boundary adjustments are made.
