Dong Thap appoints Nguyen Thanh Nhan as Provincial Chairman

Dong Thap province has undergone significant leadership changes following the reassignment of its top officials. Nguyen Thanh Nhan, the former Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Central Agencies, has been elected as the Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee for the 2026–2031 term.

This appointment follows the transfer of Pham Thanh Ngai, the former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, to the position of Deputy Inspector General of the Government.

During the provincial People's Council session, additional personnel adjustments were made, including the election of Pham Thi Ngoc Dao and Ngo Huynh Quang Thai as members of the Provincial People's Committee. Provincial Party Secretary Ngo Chi Cuong emphasized the need for continuous administrative operations and urged officials to focus on socio-economic development targets, supporting businesses, and accelerating key infrastructure projects.
