Dong Thap province approves 1.455 trillion VND for National Highway 30 expansion
The Dong Thap People's Committee has approved an investment policy to expand National Highway 30, a project estimated to cost over 1.455 trillion VND. The project will be managed by the Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board and is expected to take four years to complete.
The expansion covers approximately 25.88 km, starting from the Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway access road in Thanh Hung commune and ending at the An Binh junction in My Tra ward. The project aims to upgrade the existing road, which currently has an average asphalt surface width of 7 meters, to a Class 3 delta road standard with a 12-meter roadbed and an 11-meter asphalt surface.
This infrastructure development is intended to improve connectivity between the Tien Giang region and the economic hubs of Cao Lanh. It is expected to facilitate logistics, agriculture, and industrial chains while linking with major national expressways and supporting the province's long-term socio-economic development goals.
