Dongdaemun-gu appoints four new cultural ambassadors

Dongdaemun-gu in Seoul has appointed four new public relations ambassadors to promote the district's culture, policies, and tourism. The new appointees include actors Lee Ki-young and Son Byung-ho, as well as musicians Seodo Band and Heeyeon from LATENCY.

The ambassadors' term is set for two years, running from September 15, 2026, to September 14, 2028. This appointment brings the total number of district ambassadors to 12, joining eight existing members from various fields such as acting, music, magic, and academia.

The new ambassadors began their activities immediately by participating in the filming of a celebratory video for the 35th Dongdaemun-gu Residents' Day. They are expected to participate in major local festivals and assist in the production of promotional materials to highlight the district's unique charms.
