Dongducheon Mayor Park Hyung-deok receives Hyanggun Grand Badge

Dongducheon Mayor Park Hyung-deok has been awarded the ‘Hyanggun Grand Badge’, the highest honor from the Republic of Korea Veterans Association. The award was presented during the 74th anniversary ceremony of Republic of Korea Veterans Day.

Mayor Park was recognized for his contributions to regional security development, enhancing national security awareness, and promoting the status of the Veterans Association. He has been noted for strengthening support and respect for national merit recipients and their families, as well as supporting security education for local students.

Additionally, Dongducheon was praised for its ‘Go! Go! Go! with Heroes’ project, launched during the month of June to promote veteran culture. Kim Seok-hoon, president of the Dongducheon Veterans Association, stated that the award brings pride to the local association and emphasized continued cooperation between the city and the organization.
