Dongducheon to host 38th Soyo Maple Festival

The Dongducheon Cultural Center will host the 38th Soyo Maple Festival and the 17th reenactment of General Eoyuso's victory procession on October 31 at Soyosan Mountain. The event, held at the Soyosan Outdoor Music Hall, combines autumn scenery with historical and cultural performances.

The festival is divided into three parts. The first section features local performances including traditional Nongak, youth dance, and children's Korean dance. The second section includes a musical titled ‘Beyond the Blade’ and a parade reenacting General Eoyuso's historical achievements. The final section consists of an official ceremony and performances by popular singers such as Kim Bum-ryong, Min Hae-kyung, Lee Beom-hak, and Hwangje.

Visitors can participate in various themed activities, such as traditional coin tossing, Tuho, and historical mission experiences, alongside autumn-themed photo booths and postcard writing.
