Dongfeng and Huawei launch Epicland X9 luxury crossover
Dongfeng and Huawei have officially opened orders and released pricing in China for the Epicland X9, a luxury plug-in hybrid crossover. The vehicle is a joint project between the automotive group and the IT giant.
The X9 features an 800-volt architecture and utilizes a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine as a generator alongside a 74.29 kWh CATL battery. Three versions are available: a rear-wheel-drive model producing 300 kW (408 hp) with an electric range of 465 km (CLTC), and two all-wheel-drive versions producing a combined 450 kW (612 hp) with a range of 432 km (CLTC).
Technological features include Huawei’s ADS 5 autopilot system equipped with an 896-line lidar sensor. The interior is centered around a multimedia system consisting of two 17.2-inch screens running on the HarmonySpace operating system. The vehicle measures 5,301 mm in length and offers a six-seat configuration.
