Dongfeng expands automotive presence in Argentina and Spain

Chinese automaker Dongfeng is expanding its presence in Argentina and Spain through strategic product launches and infrastructure growth.

In Argentina, Dongfeng, represented by Magma Automotive, is introducing a commercial vehicle portfolio designed for various operations. The lineup includes light utility vehicles such as the Captain W and Captain T 515, as well as VAN models like the 312 and U-VAN 414, which are optimized for last-mile delivery. The range also features the Captain C series trucks for urban and interurban distribution, utilizing components from partners like Cummins, Nissan, and DANA.

In Spain, Dongfeng is accelerating its operations in partnership with the Salvador Caetano group. The company recently opened 20 new dealerships and plans to reach 30 locations by 2026, with a goal of 45 points of sale by 2027. The Spanish market expansion includes the introduction of the Dongfeng Vigo electric SUV and the Dongfeng Mage plug-in hybrid SUV. A fourth hybrid model is expected to launch before the end of the year.
