Dongtan Jeil Hospital reaches 1,000 gynecological robotic surgeries

Dongtan Jeil Hospital has announced that its gynecology department has reached a milestone of 1,000 cumulative robotic surgeries using the Da Vinci SP system. The hospital has utilized this single-port robotic surgery technology to treat various conditions, including uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, endometriosis, and ovarian diseases.

The hospital operates a specialized medical system featuring seven gynecological specialists, dedicated anesthesiologists, and exclusive operating and recovery rooms. To ensure precision, the facility utilizes 3.0T MRI and advanced CT equipment to map pelvic organs and lesions before surgery.

The hospital emphasizes a personalized approach, selecting between open, laparoscopic, or robotic surgery based on the patient's age, symptoms, and future pregnancy plans. For patients of childbearing age, the surgical strategy focuses on preserving the uterus and ovaries to maintain fertility.
