Donjem Maclju hosts funeral for 500 Croatian victims exhumed from Slovenia

In Donjem Maclju, a commemoration was held for the final funeral and burial of 500 Croatian victims whose remains were exhumed from mass graves located in the Republic of Slovenia. The ceremony took place ahead of the European Day of Remembrance for Victims of All Totalitarian and Authoritarian Regimes.

The event, held at the Memorial Church of the Passion of Jesus, included a requiem mass, funeral rites, and the laying of wreaths. High-ranking officials attended, including Croatian Minister of Croatian Veterans Tomo Medved, Foreign Minister Gordan Grlić-Radman, and representatives from the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the Slovenian Ministry of Defense.
