Donnafugata International Award gala held in Palma di Montechiaro

The sixth edition of the Donnafugata International Award was held in Palma di Montechiaro, Sicily. Founded and directed by entertainment manager Francesco Bellia, the gala took place in front of the Benedictine Monastery in Piazza Provenzani after a location change due to technical reasons.

The event faced logistical challenges when volcanic activity from Mount Etna caused the closure of Catania airport. Organizers managed to proceed by rerouting artists and guests through Palermo.

Award recipients included Kaspar Capparoni, Nathaly Caldonazzo, Simona Cavallari, Samuel Peron, Serena Iansiti, Syria, and American star Daniel McVicar. The ceremony featured musical and dance performances, including an acoustic showcase by Syria and a dance piece by Samuel Peron and Francesca Manfredi. The event aimed to create a cultural bridge between Sicily and Hollywood.
