Donnafugata Prize held in Palma di Montechiaro

The sixth edition of the International Donnafugata Prize took place on September 26 in Palma di Montechiaro, drawing a full audience for the cultural and artistic event.

The ceremony faced logistical challenges due to eruptions from Mount Etna, which forced the closure of Catania airport. To ensure the event proceeded, organizers diverted flights for artists and VIP guests to Palermo airport.

The event also featured a venue change to Piazza Provenzani, with the stage set in front of the Monastero delle Benedettine. Local Mayor Stefano Castellino noted the importance of the prize in promoting the region's architectural heritage.
