Donncha O’Callaghan urges Munster players to lead provincial revival

Former Ireland lock Donncha O’Callaghan has called on Munster players to take greater responsibility following a period of significant disappointment for the province. O’Callaghan noted that the squad must rediscover its edge and show more authority and resilience during difficult matches.

Last season saw Munster fail to reach the Champions Cup knockout stages for the first time since 2011. The team also faced early exits in the Challenge Cup and the United Rugby Championship. While acknowledging potential issues regarding the team environment and hierarchy, O’Callaghan emphasized that players must not use these challenges as excuses and should instead embrace the responsibility that comes with wearing the Munster jersey.
