Donovan Mitchell defends James Harden's legacy and leadership

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell has defended teammate James Harden, arguing that Harden does not receive the same level of recognition as players like LeBron James and Kevin Durant due to discussions surrounding championship titles. Mitchell stated that Harden’s influence, passion, and intention are often overlooked because of these narratives.

As the Cavaliers look toward the upcoming season, Mitchell and Harden are expected to lead the team together. Analysts suggest that Harden’s presence may alleviate scoring and facilitation pressure on Mitchell, potentially allowing the Cavaliers to advance further in the postseason. Mitchell, who averaged 27.9 points per game last season, faces expectations to evolve into the best player on a championship-contending roster.
