Fede Álvarez confirms Don’t Breathe 3 is in development

Don't Breathe 3 Fede Álvarez horror film franchise Jane Levy Stephen Lang

Fede Álvarez has confirmed that a third installment of the horror franchise ‘Don’t Breathe’ is in development. During a 10th-anniversary screening of the original film at Beyond Fest in Santa Monica, Álvarez announced that a screenplay for the third film has already been written.

Original cast members Jane Levy and Stephen Lang are set to reprise their iconic roles as Rocky and the Blind Man (Norman Nordstrom), respectively. This marks a significant reunion, as Levy was absent from the 2021 sequel. While Álvarez has returned to write the script, it has not yet been confirmed if he will also direct the third film.

The original 2016 film was a major box office success, earning approximately $157 million worldwide. Details regarding the plot, production schedule, and official release date remain undisclosed.
