Don't Nod announces restructuring and up to 90 job cuts in France
Video game studio Don't Nod has announced a major organizational transformation involving up to 90 job cuts in France. The move aims to reduce costs and align the group's structure with its current level of activity by refocusing on a single production line in Paris.
The company reported a 14% year-on-year decline in first-half 2026 revenue, totaling €6.1 million. Economic EBITDA fell to a loss of €4.3 million, compared to a loss of €2.0 million in the same period the previous year.
Financial stability is a growing concern for the creator of the ‘Life is Strange’ series. The studio's cash reserves decreased from €15.4 million at the end of 2025 to €8 million by late July 2026. Management noted that continued operations are partially dependent on securing external financing, creating uncertainty regarding the company's ability to operate beyond January 31, 2027.
