Donut brands expand offerings in Japan with new locations and pet products

Major donut brands are introducing new products and locations in Japan. Randy's Donuts, the Los Angeles-based chain, is opening its eighth Japanese location at Tokyo Skytree Town Solamachi on October 29, 2026. This new outlet is a takeout-only specialty store. To celebrate the opening, the shop will offer free glazed donuts to the first 100 customers daily through October 31, alongside limited-edition merchandise and a strawberry matcha flavored donut inspired by the Tokyo Skytree.

Separately, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Japan will launch ‘Doggie Doughnuts’ on November 1, 2026, to coincide with ‘Dog Day’ in Japan. This new line features six varieties of dog-friendly biscuits designed to resemble popular donut flavors, such as Original Glazed and Chocolate Sprinkle. The treats are made with ingredients like whole wheat flour and carob to mimic chocolate without using actual cocoa. Special sets including original bandanas will be available at all Krispy Kreme stores and their official online shop.
