Donyell Malen expresses disappointment after Roma loss to Real Madrid

AS Roma striker Donyell Malen expressed deep disappointment following his team’s 3-4 loss to Real Madrid in a Champions League match at the Olimpico. Despite scoring two goals in the 50th and 58th minutes to give Roma a 3-1 lead, the team was unable to maintain the advantage, conceding three goals in the final stages of the game.

Malen praised the connection within the squad, describing them as a “special group” with an “excellent bond,” but emphasized the need for the team to analyze what went wrong to avoid similar collapses in the future. He noted that the players were emotionally shaken in the locker room after failing to secure the result they had worked hard for.

On a personal note, Malen shared that he received messages of pride from his mother and grandmother following his performance, marking his first two goals in the competition.
