Donyell Malen eyes scoring records ahead of Roma vs Como match

AS Roma striker Donyell Malen is set to return to the starting lineup for an upcoming match against Como after recovering from a minor knee injury. Malen has enjoyed an exceptional start to the season, maintaining an average of 1.20 goals per game.

Malen is currently chasing historical scoring milestones in Serie A. His coach has encouraged him to aim for 30 goals in a single season, a feat achieved by players like Higuain and Immobile. Reaching 30 goals would also allow him to break the club record for most goals scored by a Roma player in a single Serie A season, which is currently held by Edin Dzeko with 29 goals from the 2016/17 campaign.

The upcoming fixture against Como holds particular significance, as Malen’s only goal this season that did not result in points for Roma occurred during a previous encounter with the same opponent.
