Donyell Malen named Serie A Player of the Month

AS Roma striker Donyell Malen has been named the Serie A Player of the Month for the August-September period. The award, determined by combining fan votes with advanced statistical data from Hawk-Eye tracking, saw Malen surpass other nominees including Lautaro Martinez, Frattesi, and Rabiot.

Malen has demonstrated significant scoring form, recording six goals in five matches this season. Betting analysts note his high performance, placing him in contention for Serie A scoring records previously held by Ciro Immobile and Gonzalo Higuain. His current form makes him a primary challenger in the top scorer race alongside Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez.

The trophy presentation is scheduled to take place before the Roma-Genoa match at the Stadio Olimpico on October 17.
