DoorDash customer collects food from scene of driver's car crash

A DoorDash customer, Glenn Ndibnu, gained social media attention after driving to the scene of a car accident in Bowie, Maryland, to collect his food order from a delivery driver. The driver had contacted the customer to explain that he was involved in a wreck approximately five minutes away from the delivery destination.

Ndibnu filmed the encounter, checking on the driver's well-being before retrieving the meal. He explained that meeting the driver at the crash site was more efficient than canceling the order, which would have required a new driver to travel 40 minutes to the restaurant and back.

The accident resulted in the driver's vehicle being totaled. Following the incident, the driver launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist with medical costs and the loss of transportation and employment. The campaign had raised nearly $14,000 as of Tuesday.
