DoorDash Partners with WME and Revises Delivery Fees in US
DoorDash announced it has appointed the talent and entertainment firm William Morris Endeavor (WME) as its entertainment agency of record. WME’s Entertainment Marketing & Advisory group will work with DoorDash to develop cultural‑marketing collaborations and deepen relationships with Hollywood, according to statements from Liz Walaszczyk, head of EM&A at WME, and Ariel Gambardella, head of global brand partnerships at DoorDash.
At the same time DoorDash said it will roll out a new fee structure in selected U.S. cities. The delivery fee will be set by the merchant, while the service fee will vary with order distance and size, including a possible “long‑distance” surcharge for deliveries over 10 miles. An in‑app tab will show the breakdown and may lower costs for nearby orders, with the company reporting a median saving of 78 cents per order.
