Doosan Enerbility and OCI Holdings face mixed quarterly outlooks

South Korean industrial companies Doosan Enerbility and OCI Holdings are facing mixed short-term financial outlooks alongside long-term growth opportunities in advanced technology sectors.

Doosan Enerbility saw a stock price increase of 2.84% amid expectations for additional Small Modular Reactor (SMR) equipment orders within the year. While Hana Securities lowered its target price to 120,000 won, projecting third-quarter operating profits of 194.1 billion won to potentially fall below market consensus, the company remains focused on expanding its nuclear and gas turbine business in North America and potentially Vietnam and Saudi Arabia.

OCI Holdings is also expected to see third-quarter operating profits of 70.2 billion won, which is below the market expectation of 107 billion won. However, Kiwoom Securities highlighted long-term potential through new customer contracts and SpaceX’s orbital computing satellite business, which could serve as a significant growth driver starting in 2027. Despite uncertainties regarding U.S. Section 232 trade regulations, analysts suggest that resolving these uncertainties could trigger a stock rebound.
