Doosan Engineering & Construction wins Bucheon Wonmi housing project
Doosan Engineering & Construction has been selected as the contractor for the Bucheon Wonmi Urban Public Housing Complex Project in Gyeonggi Province. The project, located in Wonmi-dong, involves the development of residential housing and neighborhood living facilities with an estimated construction cost of approximately 515.4 billion won.
Doosan proposed an alternative design that expands the project's scale compared to the original plan. While the original design specified 13 buildings with up to 41 floors and 1,628 units, Doosan’s proposal features 10 buildings reaching up to 49 floors, totaling 1,653 units. The development will utilize the company’s premium residential brand, ‘We’ve the Zenith’, and include high-end amenities such as a sky lounge, signature gardens, and a multi-plex LED arena.
The construction period is expected to last 56 months, including the demolition phase. With this selection, Doosan has secured construction rights for three of the seven urban public housing complex projects managed by the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) where contractors have been finalized.
