Doosan reports 38% rise in Q2 consolidated operating profit

Doosan Co., Ltd. announced that its 2023 second‑quarter consolidated revenue reached 5.5861 trillion won, a 5.0% increase from the same period last year, and operating profit rose 37.8% to 488.4 billion won. Net profit surged 129.7% to 535.6 billion won, while earnings before tax grew 105.7% to 809.6 billion won. The company credited strong performance across its core affiliates, including Doosan Energy and Doosan Bobcat, for the improvement.

Doosan Energy posted Q2 revenue of 4.7248 trillion won, up 3% year‑on‑year, and operating profit of 314.3 billion won, a 16% increase. Growth was driven by expanded power‑plant and service businesses, and by contracts such as a seven‑unit gas‑turbine supply to a U.S. client and projects in Saudi Arabia, Oman and the Czech Republic. Doosan Bobcat also posted higher sales and profit, benefitting from price‑policy efficiency and tariff‑refund effects.
