DOP Economy model discussed at Rocca Salimbeni event

At an event in Rocca Salimbeni, Mauro Rosati, director of the Qualivita Foundation, presented his book, ‘La filosofia della Dop Economy’, which chronicles twenty-five years of work regarding Protected Designation of Origin (DOP) products.

Rosati highlighted the economic impact of the DOP model, citing examples such as the five-billion-euro Prosecco industry, the two-billion-euro balsamic vinegar sector, and the growth of the chocolate industry in Modica. The discussion included perspectives from Federico Fubini, deputy director of Corriere della Sera, regarding the intersection of geopolitics and global economic shifts.
