Doppelmayr reports 1.3 billion euros in revenue amid urban transit expansion
Doppelmayr, the Austrian ropeway manufacturer, reported a revenue increase of 9.1 percent for the 2025/26 fiscal year, reaching approximately 1.3 billion euros. The company's workforce also grew by 5.4 percent to 3,987 full-time equivalents.
The company is increasingly diversifying its business from mountain transport into urban transit systems. A key reference for this expansion is the Câble C1 in the Paris metropolitan area, which became operational in December 2025. As the longest urban cable car in Europe, the 4.5-kilometer system connects Créteil to Villeneuve-Saint-Georges and is expected to serve around 11,000 passengers daily.
