Greek actress Dora Chrysikou has spoken out against a malicious AI-generated image circulating online that falsely depicts her undergoing cancer treatment. The manipulated image shows the actress without hair, accompanied by captions claiming she is undergoing chemotherapy and citing fabricated statements from her family.

Chrysikou, a cancer survivor who has been in remission for five years, described the incident as “aggressive and traumatic.” Speaking on the program ‘Exelixis Tora,’ she expressed confusion over whether the attack was orchestrated by individuals or automated bots, noting that such misinformation is deeply hurtful to those who have faced serious illnesses.

The incident highlights the growing risks of using artificial intelligence to create deceptive content and spread fake news targeting public figures.
