Doraemon Future Department Store to undergo redesign in Tokyo

The Doraemon Future Department Store, the world’s first official Doraemon shop, has announced a complete redesign and renewal. Located in DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, the store is scheduled to reopen on December 1, 2026, following a temporary closure from October 1 to November 30, 2026.

The new store design will center on the theme of “secret gadgets” from the series. The interior will feature neon-style decorations of iconic items such as the Bamboo Copter, Anywhere Door, and Time Furoshiki.

To coincide with the reopening, a new lineup of merchandise will be released, including glow-in-the-dark soft vinyl figures, neon-themed tote bags, and gadgets like a Small Light desktop lamp. Customers who spend 8,000 yen or more during the reopening period will receive a limited edition 7th anniversary pin.
