Doraemon movie to make nationwide theatrical debut in India

The Doraemon franchise is making its nationwide theatrical debut in India with the release of ‘Doraemon the Movie: New Nobita and the Castle of the Undersea Devil’ on October 2, 2026. The film will be available in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, with select screenings offered in 4DX format.

Presented by TV Asahi and PVR INOX Pictures, the release is supported by a comprehensive marketing campaign led by Black White Orange (BWO). The campaign includes digital, radio, and experiential activations, such as branded buses and auto-rickshaws, as well as school engagement programs.

To celebrate the release, a special Doraemon television episode titled ‘Namaste! Nobita, Studying Abroad in India’ will air in Japan on November 7, 2026. The episode features characters traveling to Delhi and is scheduled to broadcast across the TV Asahi network.
