Doral Mayor denies sharing resident information with ICE

Doral Mayor Christi Fraga has stated that the city does not share resident information with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and does not receive data regarding federal immigration operations. In an interview, Fraga clarified that the municipal government learns of ICE activity through social media and resident reports, just like the general community.

Fraga noted that Doral does not have municipal officers trained under the 287(g) program to perform immigration functions. However, public records indicate a Task Force model 287(g) agreement was signed on January 7, 2026. Additionally, the mayor noted that Doral cannot declare itself a sanctuary city due to Florida state laws that prohibit such designations.
