Dorcas Affo-Toffey launches scholarship for 1,000 students

Dorcas Affo-Toffey, the Member of Parliament for Jomoro and Deputy Transport Minister, has launched the sixth annual scholarship initiative to support over 1,000 Senior High School (SHS) students. The program targets brilliant but needy Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates entering second-cycle institutions.

Beneficiaries from 111 public and private schools across the Jomoro Constituency received various items to ease the financial burden on their families, including trunks, mattresses, chop boxes, exercise books, and mosquito nets. Additionally, female candidates were provided with sanitary pads. The initiative aims to ensure that financial constraints do not prevent deserving students from pursuing their educational aspirations.
