Dordogne and Montauban host various cultural events this weekend

Various cultural and community events are scheduled across the Dordogne and Montauban regions for the upcoming weekend.

In Dordogne, activities include postal art workshops and book clubs at the Louis-Aragon media library in Boulazac-Isle-Manoire. The Amazone festival will feature DJ sets and a concert by Colonel Reyel in the Plaine de Lamoura. Other local events include a night market in Château-l’Évêque, a musical performance of Ennio Morricone’s works in Cherval, and the 5th edition of the La Merlandie Festival in Montazeau.

In Montauban, the Festival des Lucioles concludes on August 30, offering free light and sound shows at various historical monuments between 10 p.m. and midnight. The humor festival ‘Les dingues du rire’ will hold a final comedy competition at the Olympe-de-Gouges theater on August 29. Additionally, the Musée Ingres-Bourdelle is hosting a guided tour related to the ‘Ingres et la mode’ exhibition on August 30.
