Dorin Rotariu nears return to Turkish football

Romanian footballer Dorin Rotariu is expected to return to Turkey following his departure from Eyupspor. After being a free agent for three months, Rotariu is reportedly close to signing with a new Turkish club.

His uncle, Iosif Rotariu, stated that the player is currently in Timișoara but is scheduled to travel to Turkey next week to train while awaiting a formal agreement. While the specific league level of the new offer remains unconfirmed, Rotariu has significant prior experience in the Turkish leagues, having previously played for Ankaragucu, Igdir FK, and Eyupspor.

Rotariu, who has earned 10 caps for the Romanian national team, has had a diverse career including stints at Dinamo, Club Brugge, AZ Alkmaar, Ludogorets, and FC Astana. His most recent period at Eyupspor, spanning February to May 2026, saw limited playing time due to injury and rotation.
