Dorinel Munteanu close to signing as coach of CSM Reșița

Former Romanian international Dorinel Munteanu, who recently ended his contract with FC Hermannstadt after the club's relegation, is in final talks to take over CSM Reșița in Liga 2. Munteanu said he knows the people in Reșița and emphasized that the "project for the people of Reșița is important" and that he intends to bring supporters back to the stadium, as he did in Galați. The club finished the season third in its play‑out group and is seeking a new direction following the departure of its president, Cristi Bobar. Munteanu previously coached the team in two separate spells and hopes to repeat his past successes.

If the agreement is reached, it would mark Munteanu’s return to a club where he began his playing career in the late 1980s, and could provide a boost to the club’s ambitions in Romania’s second division.
