Dorinel Munteanu leads CSM Reșița's revamped squad in first summer training

On Monday, 22 June 2026, CSM Reșița gathered for its first training session of the 2026/27 season at the club’s Valea Domanului sports base (also reported at the Mircea Chivu stadium). The newly appointed head coach and technical coordinator, former international Dorinel Munteanu, introduced a reorganised squad of 23 players under a fresh sporting vision.

The roster includes numerous recent signings such as Erwin Bloj, Edmond Lenghel, Alin Dudea, Iustin Popescu, Antonio Mico, Cristian Bărbuț, Andrei Dima, Robert Vișan, Ouadie Salhi, Vlad Chera, Marco Lăzărović, David Pop, Aris Tudor, Ianis Măciucă, Filip Bîcleșanu, Ianis Droană and Lucian Buzan. Former club prospect Sergiu Rimovecz, who missed the previous season due to a contract dispute, was given a new opportunity after Munteanu heard his side of the story.

Munteanu indicated that the club aims to retain roughly 90 % of the current squad and will hold a centralized pre‑season camp at Vatra Dornei the following week, preparing for the upcoming competition season.
